We’re proud to share this Thomasnet.com article highlighting Ferrara Manufacturing’s efforts during the pandemic and our innovative partnerships within the NYC manufacturing community.
In response to a critical isolation gown contract from New York City, Ferrara Manufacturing teamed up with 11 local companies and 16 subcontractors to fulfill the city's needs. This initiative not only supplied lifesaving PPE to frontline workers but also supported dozens of small businesses across the Garment District, preventing closures and job losses during a challenging time.
Our COO, Gabrielle Ferrara, led the charge, leveraging relationships and navigating supply chain challenges to source FDA-compliant materials and build a robust local network. From coordinating across companies to working closely with city officials, this project exemplifies the power of collaboration in driving impact.
As Gabrielle shared, “It was an amazing moment for our industry to come together and work to support the volume. Building relationships has been a really important process for us.”
This experience further reinforces our commitment to fostering resilience and innovation in local manufacturing, as we continue building new markets and adopting cutting-edge technologies for the future.
