On May 16, 2021, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand toured Ferrara Manufacturing’s facilities in Manhattan's Garment District, meeting with workers, union leadership, and company executives. The visit underscored the vital role of domestic manufacturing in producing high-quality personal protective equipment (PPE) and strengthening American supply chains.
During the tour, Gabrielle Ferrara, COO of Ferrara Manufacturing, walked Senator Gillibrand through the full production line, introducing workers—many of whom have been with the company for over two decades. The facility showcased Ferrara’s notable achievements, including the production of U.S. Olympic Team uniforms and the masks worn by President Biden at his inauguration.
Ferrara Supply Company, launched in March 2020 as a division of Ferrara Manufacturing, has produced over 8 million PPE units to date and was awarded funding through the American Rescue Plan to continue this critical work. The visit also highlighted the longstanding partnership between Ferrara Manufacturing and Workers United, a union that has supported the company’s employees since 1995.
Gabrielle Ferrara commented: “It’s an honor to showcase the talent, skill, and innovation of our workforce and our commitment to Made in America production. Long-term federal support is key to stabilizing and growing this vital industry.”
Ferrara Manufacturing continues to invest in American garment engineering, advanced technologies, and workforce development to meet the nation’s needs while producing the highest quality garments.
